Palmer from Evans today. Vandoorne was 4th or 5th quickest in among the series veterans!

So far Palmer and DAMS dominating. Marciello doesn't look as sharp as before Christmas.

Marciello will take a little time to adapt, he will defintley up there with the series veterans by the middle part of the year competing for the wins/podiums,
meanwhile it looks like Lancaster will fill the second seat at MP: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/112896 And Axcil Jefferies looks certain to fill the other seat at Trident, while the free Lazarus seat will as always go to the highest bidder... |

After his showing in this week's test, I think Lancaster has shown he deserves a seat. As ever, it's down to putting the funding together.

Sorry to tell you this but Elinas will not get any seat in GP2 this season, he hasn't even tested with a GP2 team yet in 2013 post-season or 2014 pre-season tests, and that I'm sure is a sign if anything that he just doesn't have the funding to step up to GP2

He has offers and they are favourable let's put it this way. All he waits for is some money from Cyprus government to be approved and he will be good to go. Sure he missed the first tests but that's not the end of the world. Afterall he made some of the winter tests and he was very fast.

Ellinas didn't test in FR35 either. He will surely go for chances like Frijns or Ceccon had last year, but we can't expect much more apparently. (I hope I'll prove to be wrong.)

I'm with you about the Ellinas situation. I greeted him for his last victory in GP3 at Yas Marina via Twitter and I hope his formula career could continue. Knowing the turmoil economic situation in Cyprus I think it's a miracle that Tio could continue racing at the levels he deserved. But well, Argentine racers López and Guerrieri kept racing in Europe during the corralito and default in Argentine during 2001-02, so I have hopes Tio could do the same in his current financial situation. I insist: I'm with you in it, about seeing Ellinas in the series.

Axcil Jeffries is known for not being a wealthy driver and I don't think Trident accepts Zimbabwean dollars.
