Hi - probably the easiest way is to contact one of the marshals clubs via their website.
The main clubs are BMMC (British Motorsports Marshals Club), BARC (British Automobile Racing Club) and BRSCC (British Racing and Sports Car Club). I think it depends on which marshals club does the most work for you! |

What about a more general organisation, the Motorsport Safety Fund?

I would suggest the Motor Racing Safety Fund who help with kitting out the rescue units used by all clubs. To my knowledge there isn't a fund set up by the BMMC (marshals club) but you could check their website www.marshals.co.uk

Stephen, it's now the Motorsport Safety Fund as it doesn't only cover racing any more. Details at http://www.ukmotorsport.com/msf/index.html

Thanks for that Martin. It's still the best one to support in my opinion as the money does make it's way back into the 'grass roots' of the sport and helps with marshals training and equipping rescue units etc etc...

Thanks Les, we marshals ought to try and do a little more to help as well. I've often thought we should have collection tins/buckets at large meetings such as TOCA or F1

our pleasure - I was astonished how much we raised without even trying.
A bucket would be a great idea especially during the pit lane walkabout. |

Agreed. I will have to ask the organising clubs if we can organise a few meetings where we can raise some cash

I am sure there will no hassle with Westie. I have a mate who is going to 'perform' for charity at one of the meetings and Westie is all for it.

I'm the BMMC South Midlands Training Co-ordinator (boy would I like a shorter title?), and we're organsiing a training day at Rockingham on Sunday 23 February 2003. We are short on funds as the backing expected has not materialised. SO if you have any spare???? If you want to come, read Trackside or email me

Welcome to ten-tenths Clive.
Have you spoken to the Motor Racing Safety Fund and the MSA? I guess you would have but just in case |
