The practice times are more spread out than I would have expected. Only five cars in the top 1-second bracket.
In another thread, I predicted a Servia podium, and if he can keep this up...

actually thats very odd they have Bruno listed as 19th but his time clearly puts him in 17th (must have terrible car problems I think , he came out right at the end of the session)
and I dont know why Carpentier is listed where he is with a 1.40 lap time ? |

That's better. Nine cars within the top 1s.
Besnard outquals Gonzales, Philippe and Smith. (And Janis). I hope he can keep it together and post a strong result. (Whoever he is!) And it's awesome to see Dale Coyne right up near the top in every session! |

What time did Jason Bright qualify with a couple of years ago ? The comparison to Besnard would be interesting, I bet you J Bright is watching closely

the cars where much faster back then but Brighty qualified with a time of 1.36.432
|

Bruno junqueira had gearbox problems today and really only got out with a few minutes to go , thats why he is so far down.

After Haberfeld who's in 11th place, the times are not very respectable. They range from 2.300 sec. up to just over 6 sec. behind Bourdais. A very good performance by Oriol Servia and by Jimmy Vasser!!

Patrick will be able to use Tracy’s data for the set-ups, but their styles are very different. Will they be able to dial the car in, in time? I gues we will see. Bruno's gear box problem sounds relatively minor.

* Besnard put in a pretty nice time all things considered. * Theoretically one would only expect Pat to be a couple tenths off where he'd normally be using a setup that he hasn't had much of a chance to customize to his preference. * Terrific Q1 time from Servia. |

Servia's really done a lot better than Janis, which surprises me, as this hasn't traditionally been one of his great cirucits. Besnard, Bourdais and Dominguez all are worthy of praise as well.
