Don K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Alfa 156

Last month, one of my colleagues has blown the engine of his new Alfa 156. The lease company wants him to pay for the damage, but according to the garage, my colleague has maintained the motor oil level according to the rules.

Two months ago, another colleague had blown the engine of his new Alfa 156. The lease company wanted him to pay for the damage.

Coincidence?
Or is there a problem concerning the Alfa 156?

It was mentioned in EVO magazine's long term test of a 156 that they did use a bit of oil and a few drivers, who'd been used to driving cars which didn't use any oil so didn't look under the bonnet between services, had run a little low on oil and done some damage.

Which engine?

I run a GTV with the 2.0 twin spark. It gets a drink of oil once a year - whether it needs it or not!
