Picked up a 2002 SVT Focus !1

I discovered they were not selling well.I found this out while surfing yesterday.I suspect a little overpriced.I wandered down to a dealer who had 7 on the lot. I have a 3 year lease on a 4 door Focus SE , with 2 years still to go.
I told the dealer I wanted to walk away from the SE lease with no penalties, And I would only only pay so much for the SVT . If he couldn't help me , I'll just keep my persent Focus. I get they were desperate, because they met my requirements!
It has every option (sunroof, traction control,ABS,heated leather seats,Audiophile 280 watt sound system with 6 pack CD player,A/C and electric everything) and listed for $31000 . I got it at $25000 .

I pick it up Friday !!

Thanks Santa !!

Wow!!!

That's almost a real car!

Sorry, Pontiac guy, just had to take a quick dig... Very cool... I hope you absolutely love it.

Congrats on the new car...

That surprises me that they aren't selling well. I went to one dealer and all I saw was one or two, and they had some ungodly mark up of $3000.

Then another dealer that had several parked out front that had them all marked under sticker by $2000.

Oh well, I'll stick with my Protege MP3 for now...

I've have the car for a week now. I really like it !! I haven't been able to push the envelope yet because the roads are covered in snow with a generous mix of gravel.
This makes driving interesting on low profile summer tires !!

I definately know the traction control works !

A work mate traded a XR8 (V8 five speed manual 200kws) on a three door 2 litre sports Focus last week.

She loves it. Looks good too.

I have the Kona ZX3 version and enjoy it. I drove a black SVT and really liked it. I just cannot afford one right now.

I guess the exchange rate hurts the price in Canada. An SVT loaded like that in Tulsa runs about $20,000.

Fast95pony, do you ever visit www.focaljet.com ?

I took a non Zetec 2 litre auto for a long drive yesterday - handles well, really well but a little gutless.

Congrats on the car. I took one home for the weekend [I work for Ford] and I found it comparable to my Honda ITR in terms of steering feel, initial turn-in, brake feel and chassis balance. If only it had a limited-slip diff and twenty more bhp [not to mention a lighter, lower inertia flywheel] it would be phenomenal.

Congrats again.

Did you know the SVT is a homologation model of the current new 03WRC Focus? They chose it because the bigger rear bumper - allowed them to use big rear wing.
