I'm not sure if you have noticed, but "Australian manufacturers" are part of huge global corporations who invest billions in R&D and who have all used Direct Injection for years and in (literally) hundreds of thousands of cars.

Or do you think "Australian manufacturers" work in isolation, in some tin-shed out the back yard or something?............

.......but have been known to get it wrong on other occassions.
