Car tuning?

Does anyone know of any good car to tune that is JDM, rare, and AE86 like? I was hoping that Toyota created the Scion tC to resemble the AE86, I know it was a crazy idea... but still. (Then I found out that the tC didn't have a weight distribution close to 50/50.
Also, what would you guys think if I was to get a Miata? Just wondering. Cause I heard people think guys in Miatas are gay. Or now, the MX-5

you would be better off posting this in the road car section, but if you go for anything go for a MX5, good handling and good base to tune up

JDM?
I've often heard cars refered to as girls cars, things like MX5 and the Ford Ka- usually small cars that have a 'cute' look- I guess even the Mini (No, not the FWD BMW!) and the Beetle could have been but history has shown them to have a universal appeal.
If you like the MX5/Miata then don't let a percieved image stop you- you are a free man are you not?

Thanks Garcon, far too many TLA's around here!!
There's a lot in favour of the Miata/mx5- there's a quite big owners club and parts are easily available from the likes of Moss etc

I think shaunx may be in the US if he is calling an MX5 a Miata. Not sure if you would say they are rare enough, but a turbo Silvia would definitely be tuneable enough and they have good balance.
