How do you explain my Marshalling at LeMans in '99, '00, '01 & '02 as well as at the ELMS at Silverstone in '04? You are entitled to your opinion however you are not enitled to your own facts. |

I was doing population statitics for work the other day and the greater NY urban area has in excess of 29 million people in it, the largest urban conglomeration in North America.
If 1% of those people went to an event anywhere in the region they would total over 290,000. Thats enough people to outsize any current crowd in F1, so any argument about a 'lack of fans' is probably a bit superfluous. There would be enough people in the greater NY area to make it work if properly promoted. |

While it is by no mean an affirmation of F1 success in Texas, it surely would be a another boost in the arm for Austin:

Is there a date set for this yet? I have a friend who lives in Austin who I'm going to see when I go and I need to buy my plane tickets at some point. I'm hearing November. Is it safe to buy a ticket yet?

Vettel will no doubt have wrapped up another title by then. Headline: "Vettel two seconds faster in winter testing with a flat tyre and one hand tied behind his back" Still wanna buy those tickets?

What really needs to happen for the sake of the Austin GP is for Ferrari to pull their finger out. Still interested?

Fingers crossed that the good people in neurology will eventually find out what's wrong. So far, they have found a brain and a spinal cord, so I'm happy with that. Gotta get some more kip now. FP3s on soon! |

It's really nice to see there are some genuine friendships here on Ten-Tenths.
