Free practice 2 is currently on right now.

Edit - Looks like Tarquini is the quickest with 1:55.287 followed by Muller, Huff and O'Young. The Ford were at the back (I'm rather surpised by that.) and Thompson was ninth quickest in the Lada. (Now only if it did not have the 40kg...)

Coronel only 19th.
His teammate Cerqui 13th. It's not going well at ROAL.

Hmmm... I was expecting the Fords to be stronger here as their form seems to be improving bit by bit. Not another double Chevy pole!

The Fords took a lot of damage last week, they had to get the spare chassis shipped out and built up for Nash to use this week. That's a lot of work if they were back at the workshop, more so if they are on the road. I think that's just put them too much on the back foot.

Formula Chevrolet is just getting too predictable now. How about actually slowing them and not their competitors for a change.

And it got even worse. Both of them are placed at the back of the grid due to teammembers plugging in laptops in parc ferme

On the subject of Coronel, here is the preview he did for the race.

Norbi, Norbi, Norbi!

Better after this qualifying result than if he would be in top 5.

In race 1 he managed to get to 6th.

Kudos to the Hungarian crowd. Sadly such an enthuasiastic crowd has become rare in motorsport. When I recall the German Grand Prixs in the 90's for example...

Exactly. All the Btcc fanboys who say the wtcc is boring and has no overtaking need to look at that!

Great race 1, really nice racing again this year (last year was also great here). Stunning drive by Coronel!

Simply incredible to see Norbert Michelisz win in Hungary, WTCC finally living up to it's name with the drama and passion of a true world championship. Shame you don't see many crowds as large and passionate as that in touring car racing today outside of events like this or the Bathurst 1000.

Great result by Norbi, always fun to see the nice guy win What was Engstler doing though? He just let anyone pass who got close, hardly putting up a fight. There's fair driving and then there's bland driving...

WTCC must be enjoying this, in just two years this most the unlikely of (replacement) events has grown to be one of their most successful ever... whether or not the races itself were that good is argueable but what a great crowd and atmosphere

Hungaroring was the highlight of last years season, it might also be the same this year. What an amazing crowd, and great drives from Coronel and Michelisz. Two of my favorites doing 2 good races and there were other nice battles as well, so I'm very happy with this weekend

Too bad we don't get to see crowds like this at each WTCC event.
