A British GT team brought one and raced it in BGT this year but now is up for sale.
Absolute Racing also brought one recently for Asia GT. Peter Edwards the owner driver of this years Bathurst 12hr winning Ferrari has also brought one and will race in Aus GT and Bathurst 12hr next year. |

Isn't that '991 RSR' the 991 GT3 R intended for GT3 racing? That wing is not allowed in the current GTE rules, unless they got a waiver for it. But then it also doesn't make sense that the whole car is wrapped in camouflage.

Yes it should be GT3R not RSR, it's also got larger vents over the front fenders that aren't allowed in GTE either.

definetively GT3R! that giant wing isn't allowed in GTE specs. Or maybe is a special version of the RSR to be used in VLN and N24H

A nice write up on Speedhunters about the Morgan GT3 racer that raced in FIA GT3 a few years ago with limited success. Not an in depth technical look but some nice pics.

I thought the Morgans were the ugliest things on track when I first saw them but over time it really grew on me. Like a road Morgan, it's a very charismatic little car. A shame it had such a short GT3 career.

Does anybody know if the manufacturers which have been selling these GT3 cars in volume are making a profit on the programs? There seem to be enough Ferraris, Mercedes and Audis racing for them to have made some money.

GT3 manufactures...
Someone like Audi with a trackside support program wouldn't make most of their money out of the sale of the car but moreso out of the continuing support of the customer. Spare parts and factory technicians don't come for free.

I don't think the companies see racing as providing income to the company's bottom line as a whole, but instead try to at least cover more of the racing cost through racing profits. |

Somehow, that Cadillac ATS racecar is screaming for a DTM entry with those wide fenders!

After a decade of thrilling fans with its thundering V8-powered CTS coupe in the Pirelli World Challenge series, Cadillac has revealed its replacement for 2015. The General Motors luxury brand will, as RACER previously revealed, park the CTS-V.Rs in favor of its new twin-turbo V6 ATS.

Anyone see a driver in any of these photos? Windscreen bars look like they'd be a hinderance to sight lines.

Doesn't really do it for me, maybe the grille's size/position is odd, or that the overall profile is very generic, like the Lexus, but certainly the more the merrier.

Good to read that the car will be made available for other series too (other than PWC) in 2016!

I asked Tommy Milner on Twitter. He said it's a Pratt & Miller thing, and that the C7 GTE car has the same thing. It stiffens the chassis. I guess it's higher than the line of sight for the drivers.
