no onboard cameras at long beach
on accu weather it says raceday will be cloudy with a 50% chance of rain. last year it was cloudy and speed couldnt get the helicopter high enough. hope this doesnt happen again

This reminds me of something I wanted to mention after Mexico...
There haven't been any "helmet-cams" this year. They were tres cool. |

I loved those helmet cams. I just wish I could see any cams at this point. Stupid Speed.

if the chopper cant get high enough it cant transmit the onboard camera signals

I remember the "nose-cam" That was a great shot. My favorite was Gil De Ferran's nose-cam (Motegi,1999), & Sam Hornish's Panning Undertray Cam (2002 IRL Season), where you could actually see the tire & sidepod. It seems that in car cameras have come along way since I started watching (1995/96).
