Flaming_Wuzzle's Tracks

While I haven't been posting here regularly since the end of '08, I've still been occasionally drawing tracks, although I've switched to paper instead of using Paint/Photoshop/etc. Since my scanner seems to actually work now that I have a new computer, I figured I'd show you guys some of them.

Just as a note, none of these have names, and I don't necessarily have any idea of what the elevations for any of them are.

First one runs counter-clockwise, if you couldn't deduce it from the gravel traps.

I like the variety of corners; fast, slow and technical.
But above that, dispite the dodgy scan, great professional drawing; nice parallel track outlines.

I think it has a certain resemblance to Mont Tremblant; I like it!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I know the scans are a bit weird with the black spots everywhere. I'm still trying to figure out a good way to fix that; for now, I'm painting over most of it.

Second track is clockwise starting from the lower-left.

I like the smooth transitions between the main and short circuits. Getting these to work is often the hardest part.

Wuzzle.
I looked at this as a clockwise track but when I looked at the gravel traps its anti clockwise, is it not?
I loved it clockwise and its good anticlockwise but the gravel traps don't add up...

Out of all the tracks I have looked at lately on this site this is the one I would like to see replicated in real life the most but in clockwise form. It would be really really good as a drivers track.

heres what I mean... I tried to send you a PM with the attachment but I cant attach to a PM.

As I said I think it flows better clockwise but the traps are all set for anticlockwise.

Couldnt agree more: great track with superb flow. Lots of technical parts, but Luiggi would would give and arm and a leg to get out on it for a few laps

This next one started out as a drawing in Paint that I lost when my previous computer crashed.

It's supposed to be a short club circuit that built an extension to lure bigger series to race there, just like how, when I was first designing this, it started as just the outer track before I decided to add the extra bit.

I haven't commented here in a while but I'll make an exception for this. My friend you are one of the best track designers I've seen join these forums in a long time. The smooth transitions, natural flow, gorgeous blot shapes and still, even with all that you make a very good passing opportunities. I don't know how you do it but you've found the secret and that's what we're all searching for here at My Tracks. Nice Work

Sorry for the delay, you can probably tell that I never caught on to the "4 Tracks a Month" idea...

Anyway, new track, which didn't show up as dark as I would have liked, so I hope no one has much of a problem figuring out where the track goes. It runs clockwise, and I would guess it's in the 3-mile range.

Nice one. Got speed, technical section...

The only point to mention is that there is only one real overtaking point - which is more than zero, of course , but it's usually not the optimal situation to have only one.

But I still like it a lot.

I love the natural character of this one,its something pleasing, and I'd ride this thing anytime!
If I was forced to criticize, the only detail would be the design of t3 and t11 leaves a door opening albeit a very small window of opportunity for a track reentry , I try to avoid those situations during primary design, but then I get all angular and squarish!

Well, a tire barrier elimnates the risk of re-entry...
