MikeyG should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Timed Qualifying

Who feels that Timed Qualifying would increase the level of competition in karting if introduced? It would reduce the possibility of a fast loony causing a pile up, so what do you think

I'm a bit split on this to be honest. I think it would be good to have say the normal 3 minute practice and then a 4 minute sprint qualifying session to determine the grid for Heat 1. Then Heat 2 being reversed and Heat 3 random. I just think this supplies better racing by occassionally having the quick guys at the back to give some others more of a chance. For example last yera id loved to have done qualifying because i was quick, however so far this year i'd hate it as im not as quick!

In South Africa we use timed qualifying sessions, personally I feel that it works great. Your qualifying is used for Heat 1, finishing order of H1 is starting order of H2 and the overall points of H1 & H2 determines the start of H3.

That's the sort of thing I'm on about, it would enable the quick but loony drivers to go and knock themselves out rather than everyone else and anyone who makes a mistake in quals has to fight their way to the front. It would also get rid of any grid fixing that might go on????!!!!!
