Maybe there's no interest from team owners to buy a licence?

Don't forget A1GP's main focus is not the "old" autosport world.

Would you really expect to see, say, Venezuela though? What exactly is in it for them? Open to suggestions

Would rather see Spain from the above list...and who's the best Argentinian driver around?

Good point - ot's all about targeting the 'emerging markets' and all that moonshine

With Viso and Maldonado both knocking on the door of the big time and the best prospects that country has had since Johnny Cecotto (or should I say since Jose Miguel Coletta??) I would have thought they might have shown an interest yes...

Argentina has Lopez and Guerreri, both of whom i'm sure would like to keep 'visible' over the winter...

Spain has a number of potential drivers from a country that is enjoying a boon in motorsport. Then again, they don't need the promotion at present I suppose?

Karl Reindler will be the Friday test/reserve driver for Team Australia this weekend.

Salvador Duran will be driving for Team Mexico.

I've heard Narain Karthikeyan's name mentioned in connection with Team India, although I would have thought he might wait to see what further F1 testing opportunities there are with Williams Toyota.

cos should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Indonesia: Ananda Mikola and his brother Moreno Soeprapto
South Africa: Zaugg and Simpson

I thought Dominguez would be racing for Mexico at some point?
As for Italy's drivers; a quick google tells me that Alessandro Pierguidi is a winner in Italian GTs and Davide Valsecchi is 10th in WSR so far this year. Michele Rugolo seems a bit of a journeyman; spent 3 years in Italian FRenault, brief stint in GTs and Le Mans, back up to F3 and a couple of F3000 races. Not quite sure what he's doing now, probably EuroF3000 or something.

I think that was the plan, yes, but then he signed with Rocketsports to finish off the Champ Car season. Maybe later.

Anyway, Duran has circuit knowledge of Zandvoort and, believe me, he is vastly better than his results in British F3 this year would suggest. You don't win two races in difficult conditions at Laguna Seca just by chance.

Yes Duran has had a poor season in F3 but i didn't think it was down to him necessarily. Will he stay in F3 next year or move to FR 3.5?

Oh and thankyou for getting what I meant by WHO?? re the Italy line up!!

No problem, it made me smile!

As for Duran, you're quite right. If he had been with Double R or Carlin he would have been a title contender. As for next year, he might just come back when the dust has settled, but it's the last thought on his mind right now. WSR is probably more likely.

Not as such, but Narain has signed on to stay with Williams-Toyota so I doubt he's in the frame.
