It was an amazing 30 degrees in the centre of Hesdin yesterday, which was fortunate as it was the annual 'Les Petroleuses Hesdinois' Bourse (autojumble) & general classic car gathering.

The good weather certainly brought the classics out, with everything from a 1911 Renault to some monster 1960's Americans. A really lovely day.

Needless to say, the weather is now back to bright 'n breezy. Only one good day at a time...

If the Mods feel this is inappropriate I quite understand.

Two members of the forum were overheard at a recent meeting, one was saying;
When I was in my twenties, if I had a hard on I couldn't bend it with both hands, in my thirties I could just about bend it with both hands. In my forties, I couldn't bend it with one hand, but in my fifties I could with one hand. In my sixties, I could bend it fairly easily with one hand, and now in my seventies I can do it easily with just one hand!

Pete asked; So what's your point?

Mike replied; Well I keep wondering how much stronger am I going to get?

While wisdom my increase with age ............

Sid was an old charmer. When he wasn't "playing away", we used to bump in to him occasionally at his local fish and chips shop in West Hampstead in we were in the mood for a chip butty before we started our shift in the pub. It must have been a pretty good establishment, because it was exactly round the corner from the pub.

A bit early for suggestions for the 2025 title for this thread, but I think this could be a winner!

Browsing through an online newspaper , this came up . " Your Browser is not accepting cookies , which are essential for the full context of this ? " , or something like that .
Has anybody else seen this , and is it a new idea to try to bombard everybody with adverts .

Both Autosport and Motorsport websites have something similar; you either accept all the adverts or you can't see anything. It's their way of recouping the losses they get from reduced circulation of their printed matter.

Have seen a lot of places which require you to register , [ so they can pass your E Mail address on to anybody ,] before you can read their things .
But this was the first one I have seen wanting you to open your browser up for anybody /everybody .

They say it's meant to help you finding better choices according to your preferences and previous visits. May be a dedicated G account could help you together with removing cookies and use private navigation windows. But lets face it, they are everywhere and privacy is a dead letter.

Personally I would not have anything to do with G stuff .
They have their own agenda and are also the worlds biggest censor . So if you do , say , read anything that doesn,t agree with their views , then you will be cut off . https://www.usnews.com/opinion/artic...t-be-regulated

Nearly at Eurotunnel . Hockenheim Jim Clark this weekend . Very nasty accident at start of FJ race . Brings home how dangourous single seaters that tangle can be . Both drivers ok but few bruzes and overnight stay in hospital . Both cars wrecked . My two cars chugged around at the back but enjoyed the weekend . I have some good German mates that do the same work as me and it’s always good to compare notes with them . Nice easy trip next Saturday to Wycombe . Got a 500 to blast up the hill . ?
