Where will Guy qualify?
Since this is Guy Smith's first Champ Car race, I was wondering what position do YOU think he'll start from?
(1)Just ahead (P16) or just behind (P18) Gaston Mazzacane and Alex Sperafico? (2)P11 - P15 (3)P6 - P10 (4)P1 - P5 I'll go with #2. He should start ahead of Gaston & Alex S., but I can't see him cracking the top 10 at this time. |

I'll say 14th. He hasn't driven these cars before, adn he doesn't look like a sueprstar, but he can beat the likes of Gonzalez and Sperafico.

To be honest I'm not making as educated a guess as I'd like, but realistically it doesn't matter who it is they wouldn't qualify well being in his situation. I'll say 15 or 16th. 14th and I'll be impressed.

Hey KB,
I'm curious to know why you think Guy will qualify between P6 - P10? Let's remember that this is his first time in a CC and I don't think he's ever driven at Elkhart Lake before. |

Elkhart Lake is probably the best course for a newcomer to drive a Champcar. Lots of wide open areas, big run offs, fairly smooth track. I'm guessing he'll qualify 11-14 or somewhere in there. He's should be in a competetive car regardless of how well he drives it, and thats an advantage.

His qualifying time so far is not representative of his true pace - and you'll notice Tracy is down in 14th.

Well duh, Gentilozzi is puposely trying to get Guy to qualify last and then have a mechanical failure in the race that makes the ensuing accident look like driver error. Then Memo can look like a hero and ask for more money from the Air Force and bring it back to Champ Car and line Gentilozzi's pockets with it. It's soooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy to see.
