imull has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
safety radio

there is a thread on rallymarshal.co.uk regarding the future of MSA safety radios.

It would appear that teh RA is having a tidy out and has told the MSA that its frequencies are having to move.

I guess this applied to teh race and rally frequencies (?).

Perhaps someone more involved would care to have a scan through and summarise for people.

It might be an idea to e-mail the MSA or go to their website for further information on this!

Race frequency is 186.xxxxxMhz FM, this seems to be a Rally issue.

I'm not really a rally bod but I understand that they have radio cars dotted about in order to provide a comprehensive radio network for events.

The Rally frequencies are different but what they are Idon't know, it would seem from reading the article that they are around 86Mhz AM and FM.

So, if you're a Rally type this will affect you, if you're race then I don't think it will.

So, no need to retune the scanners then! (obviously only spectators as Marshals would never have scanners on post now would they!)

Race freq is 169.3375 and rally around 86. I have just renewed our licence but their was some confusion as they are trying to encourage people using a fixed freq to change to a group of shared ones under a title of PBR (prev PMR). Thats no good for a national safety freq.
I am sure that their Europeanisation will affect us eventually but it looks like we are the same as last year for now.
