Despite having been to Spa several times, I never bought any tickets so I'm out of sorts now!
Is the laughable bad sherpa.be site the only way to purchase tickets up front? They are 28 euros now, but don't include an option for parking tickets? How much are the entrance tickets at the gates? And as my friend is disabled, we'd like a disabled parking if possible. I believe that is parking P1? Anyway to get tickets for that? Or just show up on the day with his disability stickers showing in the windscreen? And how much will the parking be? 5 euros or so if I remember correctly? Thx, Vincent |

Hello Vincent, I thougt buying tickets at the gate will be 35 euros. I always park very close to the entrance of the track at the old start and finish straight, without a pre bought ticket, last year I had to pay 5 euros for parking there.

When I've gone on a whim I've parked in one of the impromptu carparks on Rue de Circuit for about 5 euro but these are just a field, so maybe doable on crutches but less so in a wheelchair. Assuming your friend has a disabled badge I might be inclined to drive down really close to the track and talk my way in to the car park there but no idea if that is likely to succeed. If last year is anything to go by the free parking pass location you got from booking early got you somewhere which was emphatically NOT disabled friendly and a lot further away from track than the private field car parks. I take it contacting Spa directly gets you nowhere? |

Them ******s didn't include parking tickets at all anymore a few days after sale started, without any notice whatsoever indicating that parking tickets were limited.

Do you mean at the outside of the track on the rundown from La Source to Eau Rouge? I always park there and I thought that that was P1 but not sure (the disabled parking site) so that would be ideal!

I don't think you'll need to be concerned there Vince. As Nobster and Isynge state, as long as there is a disabillity card behind the screen, you shouldn't have any trouble. One of my good mates lives in a wheelchair and went with us to Le Mans the last couple of years and it appears that being in a wheelchair magically opens many doors and pathways.
I'll tell you, I've never before reached the fence of Arnage corner at 2 a.m. so fast as with him in front of me! Everyone steps aside as if you are escorting the King himself. |

I bought tickets on that laughable sherpa.be website and got a free parking ticket at P1. Last year P1 was the place behind the straight that goes to Eau Rouge. It's comfortable as you can easily go to Eau Rouge corner and also there's an entry to the paddock right there. You can walk down from the exit of La Source down to Eau Rouge and Raidillion

Man I'm so angry at sherpa, ******s! Anyway: weather looks great in the forecast! A bit very cold with a northern wind, but still a good amount of sunshine. I might even not get a sunburn, again! |

Obviously not as I didn't get one with my order before that date and when I asked them about it they said all are sold out.
Where do I buy a parking ticket? |

No problems buying a parking ticket. Chances are though, that P1 will be full allready. Especially on raceday as many spectators allready arrive quite early for other prerace happenings.
We mostly buy a ticket right across the street from the Spa francorchamps racing hotel. It's basically just a field but nearly never sold out and just a 5 minutes walk to the La Source hairpin. |

I figured, was only a matter of time they would start scanning the parking tickets.

I think the readers that the security people have are the same as they have in Le Mans you can come and go during the day but you will need to check out to be allowed back in.

Appreciate it's a bank holiday in Belgium so naturally the crowds are out, but when I drove through the town of Spa this afternoon it was extraordinarily busy and quite a few exotic cars around, raining prospect of a potentially decent crowd on Saturday.

They say Saturday will be rain free, maybe some rain tomorrow. I tried to access the paddock this afternoon but no way, I was blocked at the entry. I guess last year I was lucky, nobody was at the gate. I stayed at the pit lane for hours watching scrutineering and pit stops practice

As every year I'm going to Spa, too. Is there a forum members meeting planned or a joint walk around the track?
