But it was on the Internet??
Not sure if old or new, but would add colour and character to a growing quality series.

Fogg would have been right at home in the third race.

Shane Drake should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I have got to admit that that was the best weekend in NZ motorsport since Murph started winning Pukekohe in V8SC and R3 one of the most amazing races I have seen for a while if you were there. I was out there suppling gear to ST, CC and support classes and I havent seen so many smiles on peoples faces for a long long time.

Im sure there were teething problems but for their first time that show was what we needed and all the staff at SuperTourers, drivers and teams have done an awsome job.

The Honda cup and Muscle Car guys were stoked and all it took was a bit of love.
Dont know if you walked the pitlane after the race but the buzz from the teams and the drivers was electric (even if their doors and bumpers were hanging off their cars)
Even some of the attending MSNZ officials were acknowledging that this was a different atmosphere from what they are used to.

I dont agree with comments that Honda didnt deserve to be there, they put their hand up, backed ST, had a big diverse field and loved it and I reckon thats more important for our sport than anything right now.

What we must remember here is that 99.9% of our license holders do this for fun and if they get ****ed off they leave the cars in the garage.

I asked every sunburnt person that came into our shop today what they thought of the weekend and everyone of them loved it, full of enthusiasm.

Hats off to everyone as it was a team effort and a lot can be learnt from that.

Stop knocking it straightline, there is no comparison between this meeting and yours. Your comments are out of line for a person in your position and could put your potential courtcase at risk by making accusations that you dont know all the facts on. You and your two mates have single handedly ruined motorsport at the top level and scared off everyone else in the process along with creating a divide in the sport of NZV8 vs the rest of the sport. Now if anyone should be locked in a boot it should be you.

What seems odd to me is that the new MRX NZV8 is nothing like the V8ST under the skin. You'd have thought if this lot were so into it and so far down the road, the new NZ V8 would be at least similar.

Knowing how to spell Ceprnich might have been a good tactic too.

As for the event today that is a matter of opinion! What was so fantastic about this event apart from 16 new V8's racing? Muscle cars are always good but Honda cup and 8 Challenge cup cars racing around are you kidding me? Big time gaps on the track with nothing happening surely they should have learnt from the public opinion from the Supercar events in NZ! Should take a look at an IRC event for racing entertainment!
Think you'll find alot of the Honda guys left the IRC to do their own thing, you might want to ask them why before you take over the promotion of the IRC. And eight is just one less than nine, so they are not too far behind you!

Hope you enjoyed the view on Saturday from Proctor's apartment.

Good to see Shane in with the series, agre with his comments 100%.

Hey I forgot to mention the Super Karts earlier! Mental fast or what? I roughly timed them around the track, how's a 1:06 sound??!

I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing! Helps not having to slow down for corners I guess...

Interesting, wonder who else is interested in the 20th licence? The Edgells perhaps? Triple X?

There are a number of interested parties but only one license.

“It comes down to whoever gets the money in the bank first.” Fogg told speedstuff.

Who knows? (And would we ever? I doubt it)

Has Foggy been given a drive in the next generation NZV8?

They would be silly not to do it, even if they are heading to supertourers,
as you can do both.

Cant imagine Fogg not attending while leading the championship.

I think this whole new series is a joke and not a good thing for the CEO of NZV8s to try and have a break away series that will only fragment NZV8s! NZ is to small for this!
Just entertaining myself reading back through the early posts in this thread.
I thought this was too good not to share it with you all again.
