Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like Sp2000, in fact I used to help out on one in the late 70s', but beautiful - never.
The old Lolas, Tigas etc are pleasing on the eye, but once things like the Shrike appeared, beauty went out of the window.

Hover mower design.

And what is that purplish Van Diemen thing of Rupert Russell all about?

I think I should start a thread / poll on the ugliest Sports Cars of all time. Just Sports Cars though, as all single seaters [particularly FF1600] are absolutely georgeous - with the exception of the Van Diemen RF84!!!!!!

racingdad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Best series - Clios without a doubt - and recognised as being most popular of the BTCC series by ITV. Yes, it does appear to get a bit rough out there sometimes, but a lot of the mayhem was genuinely accidental - like at Brands where the whole pack was chasing Oli Wilkinson, returnee Rivett lost it going into Graham Hill on cold tyres and everyone else seemed to hit each other trying to avoid him. There is the occassional deliberate rough stuff, but not too much and certainly lots of action all the down the field - none of the drivers sit back and settle for what they've got

My favourite series are mostly saloons as the cars have more character (although I'll make an exception for F5000/Euroboss). They don't have to be high-power or fast, although nice rumbling FSaloons or butch touring cars are great. Anything where the racing is close regardless of speed (Minis, 2CVs, MGs, Clios) or where the cars are pretty and characterful (classic saloons) will do nicely!

Think i have to agree with you there Maisie!

Speed doesn't matter as long as the racing is close.

Justin, isn't a TGP car just a big version of FF1600? Similar concept but bigger engine. Imagine how quick you would be with a DFV in the back of your VD. It would compensate for the Mars Bar induced weight gain you will suffer over the winter - allegedly

I feel a bent engines in FF1600 thread coming from somewhere or other. People getting all nostalgic about nitrous etc. in the "good old days". Does anyone rember Mr X in his jet type of posts. Go for it folks.

My bellhousing can't cope with a Kent engine without cracking to bits, it would last 3 laps with a DFV in the back!

There are similarities:

Ford Engine
Hewland Box
Wheels are round etc.
