3 factory Peugeots vs. 3 factory Audis... Bring it on!!!!!! *rubs hands together harder than Hindhaugh ever managed*

Also it will be interesting to see by how much Strakka win P2 if they have a totally trouble-free run.

Bit of a mundane one for everyone.

Considering, much against my better judgement (the following week's going to be insane workwise) popping over for the 1000km.

Assuming the race runs it pretty close to the full 6 hours and there's a 1730 chequered flag, what sort of time am I likely to hit Calais to get a Eurotunnel? My gut feel says about 3 hours from Spa to Calais, but experience of anyone who's done it would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

Most sources that I've seen(Weather Underground, AccuWeather) are predicting rain for this weekend-advantage Audi, especially considering that Peugeot still had so many problems at PLM last year in the rain, with both cars being nearly lapped before the first hour was up? Rain could be Peugeot's bane if they haven't learned their lesson, which they should've after LM '08, but at PLM, it seemed they didn't.

Last year we were in a Stag and a TR4 and it took 3 hours to get back to the ports, it is about 200 miles but almost all motorway. As long as you get away quickly and no problems you should be able to get a shuttle about 9.30pm

Hopefully there will be full Eurosport race coverage. Shame Audi couldn't race Sebring, but this is set to be an epic event.

To be quite honest ..... I hope that Eurosport dont cover it live . The last time , they said that it would be on at such a time , and they showed it earlier , with the result when I tuned in again there was only 5 minutes left to watch . Something about world curling championship or other utter rubbish .

Im quite happy with an hours highlights later on in the day ..... as their supposedly live coverage is nothing less that a cock up from start to finish .

And I assume that the curling championship is vastly more popular that big name sportscar manufacturers and drivers ..... I know what kinda curler they should be dealing with .

I stand corrected .

Abyssmal ..... go home , stay away Eurosport and cover something that you CAN deal with ..... ping pong !!!

You don't know the behaviour of the R15+ under the rain, it's a bit early to predict they go well...

But the R15+ isn't a totally new chasis so it shouldn't be much worse than the R15 at PLM last year, if anything. I would imagine Audi would have done wet track testing at HTTT.
