Dome, what's happened?

I've somewhat forgotten about the Dome/Strakka P2 project and have not really read anything about it of late either.

Does anyone know what is happening with it today?

In theory it'll be at WEC Interlagos. We'll have to wait and see in November methinks.

Well, they got plenty of accidents which they spend their time rebuilding the car as far as I know.

As written on several occasions there was a fundamental issue with the design of the red of the car that meant it was not as adjustable as it needed to be - That needed to be redesigned, that takes time, and then new parts need to be built up - this is the wrong time of year to have that sort of problem.

They could not race the car in it's initial condition as it would have been uncompetitive, and because they would have to homologate it in that condition they'd have been stuck with it - in that condition - for a full three years

OK thanks, now I understand the situation....

What I don't understand, is that if the problem was so fundamentally wrong from the get go, no one at either Dome or Strakka saw a design problem, before the car was built?

Probably only picked up in testing as they were testing different setups and changes.
