Lola T240
Seeing the ad for a rather nicely restored T240-HU10 reminded me that we haven't so far touched on any of these quickly forgotten Lolas.
My records have the following: HU1. Works F2 development car for Gardner and Marko HU2: Probably Hayes for Mike Hiss HU3: Probably Skip Walther HU4: Syd Demovsky, retained 1972 HU5: Probably Rocky Moran HU6: Probably Chuck and Jim Sarich HU7: Probably Chuck and Jim Sarich HU8: Unknown 1971, 1972 Wannemacher. 1973 Ed Kasprowicz HU9: Don't know HU10: Don't know, but the resoration is good! HU11: Don't know HU12: Quin Calhoun. 1973 Carmon Solomone, retained 1974 HU14: Don't know HU15: Late season Hayes car for Hiss and Moran. 1973 to Ted Titmus, see ad on www.racecars.com T242: HU16 [1972] Don't know HU17 Don't know - only two T242s built. Any advance on this? Chris |
