rolling resitance in F1
I've got another question for my (very very bad) degree major project:
This time it is impossible to answer (I think) Can anybody suggest a model for rolling resitance in an F1 car? (specifically what happens when speed increases and tyre pressure is changed) Any suggestions (most books seem to say that there is no decent model) gratefully received |

In Race car vehicle dynamics by William & Douglas Milliken, they have many differint dynamic curves on tires from shaved street tires to f1 tires from possible 94 or 95. It's on page 80. It's only at 21 psi but with 4 levels of force applied to the tire. These were supplied by Good Year. Now that Goodyear is out of the f1 business you might asked them for they're last f1 tire data. These curves are probably all one needs. Minor details should be adjusted by the suspension adjustibility. And track conditions change moment to moment, needing minor adjustments.
