SBR's Double Wiper
Did anyone else notice that on Russell Ingalls car, there were two wipers coming from the same stem (like a snakes tounge)? But interestingly, it wasn't on the Marcos mobile.

Seto#5, I noticed it a couple of rounds ago - Winton, I think - and commented to a couple of people who seemed unable to explain it. When not in use, the in-car camera shows that it seems to flop around a bit. I would find it distracting, but maybe it doesn't bother Russ.

A cynic might say that Ambrose doesn't need it as everybody is almost always behind him hence no spray.

It looks a though it knocked off a few K's off he's trap speed compared to MA's car.
Could have done without it with a longer sweep & faster action- odd ! Last edited by Techo; 14 Sep 2004 at 11:06. |

SBR ran the double wiper system a few years ago when Larko was with the team. I'ts a similar set up to the one used on Mercedes Benz road cars...

I don't know how Ingall puts up with it as having it vibrate like that on the windscreen would annoy me.

Perhaps you should drop Russell a line and suggest that he remove it. |

I guess it is just a personal preference thing.. Russell likes one system & Ambrose likes a different system!! Not rocket science... We'll leave that up to TD!!!
