Marques, Types, Names in one-make championships

Please forgive the ramblings of a historian here.

I'm trying to pin down the manufacturers of vehicles in the various one-make single seat championships around the world in recent years.

The type numbers allocated to the cars would help too.

In other words: The Telefonica Nissan World Series chassis is a Dallara SN01, and so on.

Specifically, I need:

The type of the Formula Opel FACELIFTED car of post '93(?) which was developed by Schubel (I think).
Toyota Atlantic cars
Skip Barber series cars
Formula Renaults
Nissan Formula 2000 series

Any more I've missed?

This is last 5 seasons' car, but for next year it'll be a new Dallara Nissan 2000 (http://www.geocities.com/moss2636/fn...nissan2000.htm)

I don't think Schubel cars had type numbers - they were only making reynard designes anyway. the facelift was bodywork/wings - not a new car in any way.
i raced one and it had a chassis number OVL followed by some numbers. Does this assist?

That gives me some clues, thanks folks. JR, you've confirmed pretty much what I thought about the Schubel-Reynards, but the OVL designation is a new one on me. I'll have to think about this one a bit.

As an aside, anyone know the Van Diemen type reference for the Vauxhall Junior cars?

No, but remember the FVJ was not a new design - it was a Formula Forward with the wings removed.

The Schubel cars were nothing more than bodywork updates to a car that was little more than two honeycomb planks, a floor and a roll over hoop.. we ended up using a large amount of old planks for making setup floors and temporary shelving IIRC - people threw them away regularly as they buckled if you stared at them too long. Great money making idea by Reynard!

Ghinzani - true, the early ones were sh*te, but the latter ones were much, much better.

Thank your chosen deity for that!

When I clicked on this thread, I thought for a moment it was all about former Minardi journeyman Tarso "so-so" Marques!

Phew.
