Thanks Steve, that's exactly what I mean, for A1gp there was a good crowd at Zandvoort and the prices were ok.

But it is so far well promoted for Portugal. I like the concept of racing and music in one. Racing in the afternoon, live music in the evening.
We'll see, these cars are certainly not cheap to run. |

It must be almost impossible to run in a series like this.

is it just a coincidence that Campana, Teixeira and Gonda all were not racing Auto GP although there were entered last weekend?
Would be nice to know which driver will drive for which team (not only country). And why are there some nations more than one time? Still strange that series... |

So we have:
4 Sebastian Balthasar - GER (GU) 7 Nigel Melker - NED (Provily) 10 Victor Garcia - ESP (???) 14 Dario Orsini - ITA (???) 15 Sergio Campana - ITA (???) 16 Mirko Bortolotti - ITA (???) 23 Felix Rosenqvist - SWE (Performance) 20 Rodolfo Gonzalez - VEN (???) 38 Picho Toledano - MEX (RC) 42 Armando Parente - POR (Ghinzani) 64 Richard Gonda - SVK 65 Ricardo Teixeira - ANG (Performance) But what's with Belgium? Why are there countries with more entries? And what's with Dillmann? |

If they all line up, its not too bad. 12 car grid is comparable to Auto GP and the racing there has been quite entertaining. Should be a good battle between Rosenqvist and Melker, with Bortolotti not far away.
But I too don't like the multiple representatives of each country. But a grid is a grid so let them race! |

Do you remember Graham Rahal racing for Lebanon? Last time in A1 GP they were converting drivers just because they were finding some roots in their family pointing to another nation. This is more honest, many Italians - let them drive

Almost seven seconds between no. 1and no.10 while driving the same cars, doesn't look like a competitive series so far.

Only 5 drivers I've ever heard of there, only 3 of which strike me as being talented.

Have they organised an official tv broadcaster? They claim they would show it on Motors TV tomorrow at 3:40AM but I just checked and the FIA F3 highlights are on at that time.

It's nice to see this format back as I loved it when it was A1GP.
The organisers of FA1 told autosport that there would be 20-21 cars on the grid so naturally I am very disappointed with 12 cars but hopefully they'll be more. Also cannot understand why there are 2 mexico cars and also drivers should drive for the team that is their nationality e.g. Campana is at Team France instead of Italy. |

Peak grid of A1 GP was 24 cars and there where at least 2 cars in organizers colours. That totals 26 and if there some spare cars, I guess about 30 cars may have existed... but has any of the chassis been damaged beyond repair? Auto GP now has 14 cars running. If those teams have no other cars, there would be circa 15 cars available for the Formula Hasselhoff... I may be completely wrong, though. So please correct if you know better. |

I don't know the exact number of A1 cars that were originally built, but it is somewhere in the region of 50.
Each nation had 2 cars for the first season, plus championship spares, demo cars, the John Watson car. There are a lot of them kicking around. |

"Formel-Woche" reported some weeks ago that organisations have 16 or 18 cars I think and everyone who has the same car is allowed to enter the series, too.
Does anybody know what's with GU? |
