I agree with Pete, it won't be the 2005 livery, but it is a nice generic corporate 'SBR' look. Not much Caltex on there though, might affect the share price a bit. GTR ? |

I didnt think it had much Pirtek branding either....
Perhaps its an insight into what a Roddler car may have evolved into had the Milk money not run out |

Makes corporate ride days a bit easier as both sponsors (Caltex & Pirtek) can share the same car.

Except it is full spec (well almost, except for a couple of easily replaceable bars) and can serve as a rolling spare if something should happen to #1 or #9....

I hope those black wheels aren't a hint of what is to come on the race cars.
Yuck And why isn't Youlden's name on the window? |

It would be nice if they could take that car to Daytona to see what it could do in the 24hr race there, with those pilots aboard of course

Couldn't they take a couple of currently unused Monaros over for Daytona.

Probably...
But wouldn't make sense for SBR to be running Holdens now, would it? |

I heard that the ride car is exactly the same specs as the race cars but with 2 extra seats? Anyone else heard this? Is this the same with all the other teams who have ride cars ?

I know that the TKR car which is used for ride days (and currently at their new base at Norwell) is a 5.0 with only 1 seat for the passenger. I don't get this 3 seater business!. The car is actually the orginal race car but now running as a VY

Personally I think that SBR car looks HOT!
Much nicer than the cluttered chaos that is their usual liveries. |

And they can get twice as many rides in, for the same amount of cost and wear, as a single passenger car.

Are you hinting that an identical spec "ride car" is giving an illegal testing advantage? ? If so then Ford have taken 3+ years to catch up with HRT & GRM, as the latter has has a V8 supercar spec 'ute' as a testbed for a very long time.... |

HRT's PR2 is no-where near a V8 Supercar....
GRM..well, Thunder and the Monaro's had the potential to test components..... Maybe they have, I don't know, but they can't directly test. (Thunder could have, back in the VX days I suppose....) SBR can test alot of things bar engine, but I think that AVESCO/TEGA have guys at the ride days, even if not as many as the test days.... |

Thanks GTR I didn't know that. What I meant was I don't get why anyone would actually want to sit in the rear with the roll cage in front of them giving an obscured view, being one who has ridden in the front as a passenger I wouldn't want it any other way. and as for the comment about the size of TKR's supporters, has anyone seen TKR's number 1 supporter Bazz C? A good gust of wind and Sayonara! (Yes Baz I have seen you next time I will say hello!) I am the exception not the rule |

Baz is off to the South Island.....we just wonder how far south he is going?
Wouldnt the back seat be reserved for dignitaries - the likes the Queen, the Pope, or GTR - so that they can wave to their fans with the grace of their title. Of course the roll bars are strategically located to save on body guards as they tend to ricochet and deflect bullets from any perceived enemies or rebels. |
