2010 Argentinian TC2000 Series
Fiat Argentina will enter 4 Fiat Linea's coming season.
Do the other factory teams return? And the private Peugeot? |

All works and semi-works teams are staying. Fiat is making some team changes I can't understand, less explain.
Four cars? Three drivers are mentioned here: Emiliano Spataro, Ezequiel Bosio and Leandro Carducci. The biggest move is Juan Manuel "Pato" Silva (3rd in 2009), who will switch from Honda to Renault. |

But indeed there are only 3 drivers mentioned. You mean the involvement of Edgardo Porfiri? |

Also is noted that this will be the first season where Norberto Fontana will drive in other team than Toyota: Norberto will be one of the drivers of prestigious Berta team, that will run Ford Focus hatchbacks in 2010. |

Toyota are also moving up to four cars (instead of having a two car sub-team), only Mariano Werner signed so far...sure they'll announce the rest too. |

And that with another two full-schedule tin-topped series. I hope that they actually begin the season in Punta del Este (March 20-21). It's said that main Uruguayan series will join the party. I'll add some pictures to the Wikimedia Commons if possible and tell you how it was.

Close but no cigar. TC4000 uses the same basic car moulds that Turismo Carretera uses as well, but their engines are oversized to 4-litre to fit the standard of the series. They're two different series.
TC2000 is in fact another universe... |

Unless a works team enters another car, I'll guess Pechito won't have a full-time seat. He could easily be at the pseudo-endurance races, though. Remember that Top Race's owner invested in him, so that series will be priority.
Punta del Este tickets cost UY$ 400 (general) and 1150 (pit pass), i.e. US$ 20 and 57,50. I'll try hard to be there and take some pictures for Wikimedia and my blog. It's insane that the FIA GT1 will visit Potrero de los Funes only one week after the TC 2000 and the same weekend as TC's finale at Buenos Aires' Gálvez. |

Ford (Berta Motorsport) presented its car. It's a Focus Exe, and no hatchback, but four-door. Fontana and Ponce de León were on the public release of the new car.

I don't recall having heard of that name. It's the Focus II, more precisely the 2008 facelift. Last year they raced the Focus I, which looked very dated. Now the Volkswagen Boras (Jetta IV) should be dropped in favour of the Vento (Jetta V) or the Jetta VI if it's released this year.
