OR NO I have been more and more worried about the direction F1 is heading with electronic controls. DC has already stated (see autorace.com for yesterday) that all a driver has to do going through a corner is flatten the throttle and the TRACS will do the rest. There will be compensation for the drive in the wheels through the diff, grearbox, engine components, and so on. In no time flat, the boffins will find ways to control the steering or at least influence it, and brakes, so that th edriver will have much of his skills replaced by the computer software. Starts will be controlled by some form of launch control working off the lights, and braking points monitored for the driver to slam on the brakes while the gears automatically shift down.
