Race seat covering

After some advice, my seat from my car is looking tatty, are there any implications in getting them re-covered. Also are there use by dates on seats as with belts? I cant find any dates anywhere on it.

Do you know the make of the seat? If it is one of the original non-lifed seats you are better off returning it to the manufacturer.Belts should be lifed, usually about every five years.

It is a Corbeau but not sure of model, purchased in about 1994.

Probably almost as expensive to re-cover the old seat as to buy a new (even an FIA labelled) one, depending what series you run in.
