FPV to become 100% Ford owned?
So, unsubstantiated and denied by Ford itself, rumours continue to swirl that on the back of the recent firings at FPV, that Prodrive itself has bailed out of the venture, with Ford taking 100% ownership on July 1, resulting in the ultimate closure of the FPV facility...
A carefully worded statement by Ford PR was issued, emphasis is mine: Quote:
Various rumours abound, from a business-as-usual approach with FPV vehicles produced on the Ford production lines, to total cessation of V8 vehicle sales and the ultimate demise of the Falcon in 2016. Nothing so far has been said about what any of this this means for FPR, should any or all of it be true. I think its clear that _something_ is going to be announced, what it is however is unclear. Given the market conditions and recent broom sweep through the department I can't think that it will be good news. |
