There's a Travel Inn not far away which is about £42 per night!

No, but they are usually joined to a Beefeater Restaurant.

There's a hotel as you go into the racetrack. The Thistle.

Very nice place, but it's £60 for a night. However they have a bar that opens till late on racing nights and do a mean breakfast.

Actually, the breakfast at Brands is quite good at £5 for a full English and coffee. The Travel Inn, Travel Lodge are the best value and normally have a restaurant attached. There are no shortages of pubs in the area. Look for Wrotham, Wrotham Heath, West Kingsdown or even Dartford. All are within easy travelling distance of the track and I have to say beat camping anyday!

There is also a Formula1 travel lodge type place on the Essex side of the Dartford crossing, and a travellodge and a Campanile all within a 10 minute drive of the crossing, so that opens the choice availabe, if its a bad day, a warm shower is always welcome

Did I read somewhere that Brands are revamping the whole restaurant? - they had better not change the breakfast

It was supposed to have happened almost 2 years ago and like so many other things, has been put on hold. From memory, this was around the time that Brands Hatch was to be the host of the British GP. Now it remains at Silverstone and so I guess plans for Brands have been somewhat curtailed.

Stephen.

world superbikes at brands last year.WOW i know you have all been drowned but anyone who camped at the worlds last year it was bakeing hot in fact a drop of rain may have been welcomed(not really). a tip, if you camp at a big meeting during the summer d,ont pitch near them you get the smell and some polite people, the ones in nice tents still use them at 3am.

Paul,

First of all a big welcome to Ten-Tenths. I assume you are referring to the toilets when you speak of the smell?

Ah, camping at Brands. Last year in the summer I couldn't get the tent pegs in and in October I woke up in a lake, but I can't afford anything else and the atmosphere's great so that's where I'll be at Easter!!!

That's because Brands is on chalk. It is a nightmare I know but I think you can get special tent pegs for chalk if you ask at the big camping shops?
