Agree....British and German F3 series are ideal learning grounds and less than half the budget of FIA and you can test as much as you want unlike the FIA series

The future of our sport is at stake here and in 5 years or so we'll regret the lack of any proper licensing system, involving a ladder where only the most talented progress.
Not saying he's not rich, but he's at least driven a full season in cars - Skippys and F2000.

But, yeah, he still could have done a season in FR or something like it.

Very impressive from Verstappen (again), starting to think he might be the real deal the rate he is going.

Looks to be a good time from Szymkowiak (sp?!), bearing in mind he came into the series completely from left-field.

15 cars within a second bodes well for another competitive season!

Jules Szymkowiak is Dutch born from Polish ancestors, he drove Formula BMW last year and is also coached by Adran Sutil.

Ocon is in the Renault, right? This was also surprising. Verstappen is just excellent so far, it will be super mighty if he keeps this pace with VAR against all the Prema, Mucke etc. drivers.

It is Tunjo.

But Ocon is still pretty good.

Only 17, was already was in Macau. Seems to have a great car control with oversteer.

Yeah, I'm mixing both Lotus drivers. In this case Renault aren't exactly competitive, in fact more or less at the back and Tunjo is also very good driver.

Why should Tunjo leave Signature? And will there be a driver to replace him?

Tunjo probably left as the Renault engine is not performing very well.
Notice today that VW (Spiess) are quite a bit quicker than Mercedes

I forgot Blomqvits also posted a time under the 1.24 in the morning session.

By the way: the old F3 lap record at the red Bull ring was 1.26.303 , so F3 seems to be a lot faster with the new engines .

Well yes, especially if drivers are taking driving outside track limits in new levels. I have just seen a video that is frankly laughable.
