Now there's a challenge I hope someone accepts :-)
Plus Stroopwaffels appear to have been re-routed to Petit Le Mans, I'm very unhappy :-(

Just means you have to get yourself there to partake, old chap. Besides, I'll need all the stroopwaffels I can get to appease the stewards.

I just had to google Stroopwaffels, and I do wish I hadn't - that has just made me so, so, hungry right now.

You don't google them, you stuff them down your gullett as fast as humanly possible until they're all gone and then you sulk till more appear

All good information above as usual. For all of you who would like to attend a taster day, as mentioned, log on to www.marshals.co.uk and on the opening page click on "Try marshalling for a day" fill in the form and send. It will come to me & I will do the rest.

Thank you all for the great information. I had a super day at Silverstone on Sunday, really enjoyed seeing what happens behind the scene, and getting a frank overview of the good (and the interesting...) parts of marshalling. Then spend the afternoon seeing how much I could do wrong at one of the posts (not too much as all the drivers were too scared to stop )
Excellent day, and I will be back for more punishment as soon as I can free up a weekend.

We had a fair few taster day marshals in the pit lane with one who asked to go up on the gantry. As always, we were more than accommodating and even let her start a race, and open the pit lane for the F3's. Like a kid in a sweet shop to day the least. Hope she is back with all the others from the day.

So, if the objective of the taster day was to find more victims, it worked!! bmmc application is in the post. Not sure I will get a weekend end before the end of the year, but look forward to next year.

That's great news Emile; when the Taster day is over I often wonder how many of my "victims" go on to become a marshal. It's good to hear feedback like this, I look forward to seeing you around next year.
