Jim, we don't get tickets for meetings at Brands. Its a photopass / validating sticker affair....
Times: Fri: sign on 0700 to 0745, briefing 0800, on post 0820 Sat: same as above (no briefing) Sun: sign on 0800 to 0845, on post 0920 Sign on is in Hailwoods, parking in the triangle opposite Scratchers Lane entrance and you need a car pass to enter.... |

My memory is a bit useless these days - how do we get to the campsite?
Is it main entrance then left, or paddock entrance then right?! Apologies - it's been a long off season! Thanks lucy |

Thanks Hepatic
My instructions direct me to the "Grey" parking area. I sincerely trust that's got nothing to do with age otherwise I shall have a sense of humour failure. Regards Jim |

Yeah me too, enjoyed Zandvoort and have no doubt this weekend will be a cracker too. Helps that GBR have started to win races too, should be a busy w/end at the Hatch There's something really spine-tingley about a home crowd going nuts behind you as their driver takes the lead....

Mandy, or anyone else,
if your coming down the M1, be prepared for the roadworks around the Luton area. You won't get through them in a hurry!!! |

Should be ok, drop Mildred an e-mail explaining the problem and ask her where to go for sign on when you arrive. I suspect it will be Race Control but can't be certain.

They did describe it as a 'groundbreaking concept' when first launched, seems they were right.

What a cracking 3 days at Brands. I'd like to thank all the guys on post 17 over the 3 days even though some of you had been moved to other posts on Saturday and Sunday. Good weather (the dry kind!), good banter and good racing.
Friday was busy with Australia into the armco on the inside followed next A1GP session by Team GB into the gravel. The day was made complete with a Ginetta into the barrier and an FPA into the gravel. Saturday brought a new influx of incident marshals including 2 of our northern bretheren. Yes, those of the strange headgear. I think the hats scared all the drivers away as we only had a couple of cars pull off. Sunday looked like being a quiet day with all of us trying our best to work out the mathmatical chance of Robbie taking 2nd in the championship. The quiet day got spoilt when an FPA went through the gravel, then the signs, then broke his suspension. It made for an interesting snatch! as I dont think the FPA drivers know the meaning of double waved yellows! We rounded the day off with the Aston and Mustang? incident in the gravel which ended with the Aston on its side (driver side down!) fuel pouring out of the filller cap and the mustang embedded in the underside of the Aston. I just hope that I didn't bruise the Aston driver too much as I unceromoniously dragged him through the very small gap in the door! The double drinks on the Sunday also came in nice as I now have a fridge with some bottles of Newcastle Brown chilling nicely! The only down side was getting home at 1.15 am after going via Norfolk to drop my son off then getting into the office at 7.25 am |
