The Man To Drop The National Flag

To mark the 20th anniversary of the end of The Willhire, which, as you all know, was one of the inspirations for The 360. Roger WIlliams, the man who sponsored the first 24 hour race in the UK and give it its name as tribute to his company (Willhire) will drop the national flag at the start of this years 360!

Roger was guest of honour with us before at Snett and said how delighted he was that The 360 was returning to that venue...The home of Endurance Racing.

Roger will be one of the many special guests at this years event, with Sprints going on on the 100 Circuit, Car Clubs and lots around the paddock and of course The Continental Breakfast Sprint Race and The Six Hour on the 200 as a tribute to Rogers' great race.
Just as an update, the DVD's I picked up Saturday morning and they we now go out....if you were there you will get one...if you want one and ya wasn't PM me

Given that you have opened the grid to modern cars as well would this thread not get more traction in the National and Club Racing area of ten tenths?

I thought that the reason peter put it here is because it started out as historic and in truth, it still has historic cars in it as well?

I dont mind where it goes...put it in Nat if ya like x

Tim, could you start a new thread in the other area that redirects to this thread, or if that is not not possible, start a new thread there with a link to this thread as the text and then lock the new thread.

Might save any possible confusion.

Yep, that's fine. Got to hit a wider audience for this event, Claire, and since it has 10-Tenths backing not a prob having it in another of our forums. Actually having it still in historics has got me thinking ........ always a dangerous state of affairs at my age! Must have a chat sometime!

GT6 just in today....really looking forward to that car coming...plus our sponsor (yes thats right ...we now have a sponsor!!!) is hoping to support a college entry into this years six hour.

Also...some GREAT car Clubs are attending

I will actually break with tradition and do a bit of an entry list this week....

With respect to the College entry, IIRC Brooklands College were hoping to enter the Britcar 24 hour race 2-3 years ago with an Audi A8 (yes really). They built the car but not sure what happened to it after that. They were going to have young adults with learning difficulties help out.

Maybe they could be invited to enter, too???
