Dr. Austin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Test in the West

Here is Miles Nelson's very complete review of the IRL tests at Fontana and Pheonix.

Nah, he is just a mega-insider. He has been around so long that he just wandersw from garage to garage, is welcome in all of them, and gets some great scoops. He can tell you things that are going to happen 4-5 years donw the road, and he has always been right. In 1992 he told me the brickyard 400 and the IRL were both going to happen, even before they were openly talked about. If Miles says something is going to happen, you can count on it.

There are very few of them, but I have known Miles a long time. He's been a student longer than anyone I know.

I guess the biggest surprise of the testing was how good Tomas scheckter ran. As good as the Infinity motor looks, Tomas could really upset the balance of power. Cheever and Jody were teammates at one point, but father says he hasn't talked to Eddie about his son at all. Tomas got this ride all on his own. Not nepitism, no big sponsors, just speed, maturity and skill. He will really be one to watch.
