With these manufacturers involved, I can see the series hosting exhibition races in places like China, India, Brazil and Russia. Maybe not all in the same year, but alternating years or with fewer than regular entries.

On the other hand, what will happen now to the GT300 class? Will it stay the same? |

I'm sure Dome will be dancing around about this...
What happens to Super GT if this happens? Does Super GT become touring cars and DTM become sportscars? Vise Versa? |

Why not just make a common rule set across the DTM, Super GT and the US DTM (if it's happening) that allows for manufactures to choose between two or three monocoques by private companies?

So then, it seems that JAF would be adapting to DTM regs on 2014. But the question is whether they would implement hybrid technology during 2014, who will provide the chassis for both Super GT and DTM, and will the NSX compete on that year.
For now, it's resolved. But now, the only thing they need to tackle at this moment is Grand-Am, regarding the proposed DTM series in America, as well as whether the DTM/GT500 cars are allowed to compete in the Rolex Sports Car Series, including the 24 Hours at Daytona. |

I'd rather DTM adopt GT500 regs. It's seemingly a compromise. Because they will be using new cars in 2014. So hopefully not a 'spec' series with common bodywork. The transition period must be a key to this. Lets hope this sparks interest in American makes.

I hope all this Japanese manufacturers to DTM in 2014 is a load of garbage thought up by someone to grab some more traffic for their website. It sure looks like it. If the Germans want to race in SGT then make a SGT car. If Nissan et al want to race in DTM then they build some DTM cars. Do not want to see SGT become a DTM copy. Urgh. That would be the end of a fantastic championship such as Super GT. |

The bonnet piece looks very disruptive to the airflow. Its way too steep!

And if anybody is going to absorb another promoters regulations the DTM should be forced to adopt the SuperGT Rules. Those SGT cars look so seductive!

If Super GT becomes another carbon copy of DTM, then all of the plans such as hybrid technology will be gone up in smoke?
Sure, they're already merged. But now, I want to know what will be the future specs for the proposed chassis tub too. |

2:07 for the GTR GT3 compared to 2:11 for the Prius GT300. That's quite a big difference.
