Apparently the next gen GTR road car has not been yet approved?
Why are the HSV's struggling so much here? Last edited by Articus; 29 Jul 2012 at 06:15. |

This is looking like a Lexus whitewash. The other Lexuses are getting ready to attack the remaining Nissan GTR in the top 5.

Sunday press conference by GTA (Masaaki Bandoh)
Collaboration with DTM *About the collaboration of DTM and GT500, the report of motorsport.com is almost correct. *Bandoh wishes that Japanese-made monocoque is adopted for GT500. Collaboration with ACO *Bandoh asked of ACO so that the champion team of GT500 could participate in the garage 56. (However, probably, realization will be difficult.) *About GT300, we are negotiating so that JAF-GT300 vehicles can participate in GTC or GTE class. In the Suzuka round, we make a joint statement with ACO. Future of SGT *Nissan is wanting to participate in DTM. *We would like to aim at collaboration with DTM in GT500, with AsLMS in GT300. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=42530 |

One of the hybrid GT300 cars would be better for G56 than a rocketship GT500 machine.
And after listening to that commentary, well I thought Hindy got excited sometimes but holy pants... |

I guess it's a 1-2 finish for Lexus at Sugo.
And as for the GT300 class, I'm glad that the GT-R GT3 has won for the first time! |

Still, any news on whether Grand-Am will allow GT500/DTM cars compete on their series?

Grand Am might saction a series for DTM-cars, but the plan was never to include them in the Rolex Series.
However, David Spitzer, who was responsible for the coordination between DTM and GA has left Grand Am a couple of weeks ago, so the whole thing might in fact be dead for the time being. |

Still, I hope Bandoh's wishes are heard to the ITR about the proposal of making their own chassis with the same specs as the DTM. |

I think thats the only way they can get along. The Japanese buy monocoques from the Germans? Fat chance haha.

While Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia will most likely have a Super GT round, I'm worried that Brunei and the Philippines won't have a round too.
