If I go all day long and don't get told off, well that's a prize.

As now find we are racing from old paddock, should be no problem getting parked in right spot. I've filled in the organisers 'Multi Preparers Form' to that effect....

As usual a big thank you to Iain and all the other drivers who contribute to the BBQ. Should be a bigger turnout of marshals this year as it is should now be included in their final instructions that the BBQ is happening. Suggested time is 15 mins after completion of last session on Friday.

OK another question to keep people guessing :-
The No 13 is no longer used in GP racing but can you name the people that have used it since 1950, also where & when ??? |

Silverstone bbq
Is this a pre-emptive strike aimed at nerdvania then?
Seriously though, I shall look forward to Bauble's wranglings over some food and great company. Big red book is already packed, next to the MSA blue book. |

Gary396 is bringing along four A3 size prints from his portfolio as additional prizes for the draw, or may be as prize/s for the quiz.
These are the first (so far only) unsolicited donations so thank you very much Gary, I will look forward to persuading Delta to let you have a burger, and maybe even a beer. It is not too late to make a contribution to the already glowing list of prizes. See you all Friday evening. Bob. |

I hope the prints were dispensed safely although perhaps not unrolled with all those sticky BBQ fingers about!
Dedicated to all you folks who keep the show on the road!:- |

A big thank you to Iain and all who contributed to the BBQ, much appreciated by all the marshals. Thanks to Bob for the raffle and the quiz, the prizes were all distributed over the weekend to all not around when the raffle took place. Other prizes were also given by Goose, Motor Racing Legends, Masters, Frank Lyons, HSCC and a few others which were all raffled for marshals over the weekend.

Alan, I think we also must thank the 100 odd (?) marshals who turned up, which maded it all worthwhile, and the who many go out of their way to express their appreciation (of the free booze and burgers).
I would like to make the point that the prize draw was not a raffle, as donations were solicited on the basis that it was FREE to the marshals. Thanks to; Silverstone Auctions for a very generous donation. Silverstone Circuits for the Single Seater Experience.* Morgan Motor Company for the Factory Tour for two. Lille Racewear for adding to the vouchers purchased. Gary356 for the wonderful photos. The quiz was a disaster as only about three people seemed bothered about the answers, so congratulations to the winner(s?) who took home a nice bottle of whisky. The problem is how to go one better next year. * 'Lucky' Leigh Beck once again scooping the major prize, I trust he will advise all the photographers when he makes his debut! Oh! I enjoyed my burger Iain, and don't forget Roger, cooking and dispensing liquor to the Hoi Polloi. |
