Fellow posters, if you get the opportunity, you must watch a program called "In the lap of the gods", just to watch the professor do a lap of Kyalami in his Renault. It is a priceless example of his championship winning style. |

I always hated Prost when he was racing, because I was a Senna fan. But, when Senna died I realised that Senna was Senna because of Prost, and Alain deserves maximum respect from everyone because of it.
I hope he doesn't make a comeback because he'll never be as good as he was, and I wish his team was still around today! But, he was and will always be one of the greats. Happy Birthday Alain!!! |

In terms of raw speed Prost may have been the slowest of the 'gang of four', but he made up for it through hard work, determination and tactical nous. He was a great role model for F1 and a superb driver, and I really hope he can find further success in another area (maybe running a ChampCar team?) in future.
