SUV's to race at Bathurst 12 hours
A class for SUVs including Porsche Cayenne, Ford Territory and even Hummers is the surprise of the class structure and vehicle eligibility list released by organisers of the Bathurst 12 hour Showroom Enduro. The final class structure and vehicle eligibility list has, according to organisers been prepared following extensive consultation with manufacturers, entrants and the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS).
Here Got to admit if you want variety in your motorsport this ones got it in heaps. |

won't they roll over in the esses? a V8 car has only 3 wheels on the road there... so a SUV can be in a difficult position
let's see if it will have some entries |

Hmm, I always wanted to try and get my family's Toyota Landcruiser around Bathurst. They always say "climb every mountian." Now I can finally prove that theory. :P

Well I have a Wrangler with a 2" lift & 32"tyres - won't have to worry about rolling the thing around the Chase, it'll be quicker just to drive through it!!
Oh, & rollcage standard!! |

The Niva or Suzuki might be a good choice as most of the other vehicles mentioned will be pitting every half dozen laps to refuel.

Considering not one of the V8 Utes turned up this year, what are the chance of this? Believe it when I see it.

before to enter with a SUV, you've got to do some tests on the track.
But as Bathurst isn't a permanent track, when could teams do the test? |
