Don't know how the solution at the top is allowed, unless the ACO dropped their rule that all suspension parts have to be covered in plan view. I'd expect something like the Audi R18 or Bentley Speed 8 or Peugeot 908 solutions on the final product.

Though the little winglet thing near the front diffuser's trailing edge is interesting.

The component formation of body cowl of Dome-Strakka S103 is very interesting.
Rear cowl consists of multiple parts (not single piece) for cost reduction and maintenance access ease.

What a nice render, but that nose reminds me of those 2014 F1 noses!

Not really, if I had to compare it with an F1 nose I'd say Tyrrell 1997.

The car looks really nice, I hope it will be fast.

Fast? It would be really awesome. If it took the victory in Le Mans for the LMP2 class, it might be the newest Japanese car to win since the Mazda 787B back in 1991.

Strakka and Starworks won with HPD LMP2 cars in 2010 and 2012 (unless you consider HPD American vs. Honda Japanese)

Agree, also Honda Japan won the GT2 class in the 95 with a NSX. Toyota won their class in prototypes on 93-94.

Well you can't really disagree, it's fact that they won...

The only thing I dislike about the car are the headlights, a bit ugly to me. Of course that's irrelevant to good car design, but I'm sure they can do better.

The small size of the headlights might indicate we will see change on that part.

I'm curious to. Always loved the designs of the Dome Company. They do dare to take some risks in design it seems. Roll on next week I say.

I have some questions about Strakka Dome S103 photo.
*Why is the thermal insulation of rear bulkhead extended to the roof?
*Where is the engine subframe? (VK45DE is semi-stress mount engine)
*Where is the rear damper?

It seems the engine subframe is where the guy on the right has his left hand, then it goes down to the gearbox. But to be honest i is not easy to se a proper tube there, it could even be the engine directly connected to the bellhousing.

That termal insulation is often used on race cars, but i don't know material specifications.

Fianlly, i agree the rear rockers-pushrods look at least strange. Actually i don't see any proper bell cranck.

To me it looks like bell cranck, dampers and springs are not yet mounted. if you look at the picture, there is no antiroll bar either.

That components are probably simply not in place yet and they are just using something to lock everyting together for the time being (namely the strange rocker-like thing where the pushrod is connected).

If you look to the rear tie rod, it is also clearly a place holder, but not the final component. It's just a plate of metal put there to keep everything together.

Thanks.

I think that Dome wants to interpret the rear bulkhead being extended just before the windscreen.
But I don't know what purpose it is.

Cockpit cooling? LMPs still have pretty tight cockpit temperature limits, and anything you can achieve without using aircon saves power.

I think that Strakka-Dome S103 will adopt engine air intake of this photo.
It should be called submarine air intake.
