Dome may not be in the habit of building lmp's, but they aren't in limbo.

. It is sad for us fans , Dome and the whole team of Strakka to miss Silverstone and Spa but it is the right decision. Many teams tried to run and sort out the problems during the races. It never worked. They all ended in a never-ending circle of problems. So it is the right way to try to solve the problems they occured during the shakedown test and the Paul Ricard test in more test mileage. The top teams don't run more than 20.000 km for no reason.
Has the S102 ever had any serious running with enough funding to get a season or 2 under it's belt with enough testing? I don't think so. It raced only once in 2008. After that the S102.5 raced 3 races in 2012?

As mentioned no. The S102 had some test runs in Japan, but I am not sure if there were more than 3 runs, two in Sugo and one in Europe. The S102.5 did only 1000 km before the race. Compare this this more than 20.000 of Toyota.

So Strakka decided to go the right way. It does not help to try to race a car which is not sorted out.

Exactly ........ to try and sort a car at Le Mans for the first race is pathetic preparation .

John Dagy reports in its Friday Spa notes that Strakka will not be on track until May 27, only 5 days before the official LM test day for a two day private test.
Well the team report they will sort out the problems on the S103 in a series of private tests sounded quite good.
This news did not. Only one test shortely before the LM test day is not a good preparation.
Did they have a serious problem which needed to redevelop and rebuild some parts of the car or why did they not run earlier?

When Sam Collins commentated WEC today he was talking about them testing at a secret track though, so that's some conflicting info.

The situation surrounding this car is a concern for the series, will it, won't it....
It would be good if the team got on top of their problems the wec clearly need more cars out there.

Pandemonium has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
They already said that they are in the same stage as Rebellion but they choose to do the testing in private instead of in public. No need to panic. Listen to Radio Le Mans. The car will be fast.

I know for a fact thats nonsense...

Indeed to say more, when this story was posted the car was actually on track and testing, wonder how the site in question got it so wrong?

Bit restricted in what I can say but the car has already conducted airfield runs (no secret there) and at least a couple of private tests. One of these tests was taking place on Friday when the site posted its story.

I saw the car before the prologue, and know that the team could have taken the same approach as Rebellion did at Spa at Silverstone and/or Spa.

The car will be at the Le Mans test and it should be darned quick.

Thanks for that. I am glad to see more and more japanese interest. I can only hope Strakka and Domes partnership sparks more interest in their projects. Nissan coming is hopefully a sure thing as well.

has an aggressive look! and like the new ligier lmp2, these cars look a lot like lmp1 more than lmp2. The front of the car seems an epsilon euscadi 2.0

The front looks like some sort of mix between the Bentley Speed 8 and the Epsilon Euskadi.

Looks absolutely nothing like a Ligier, or the HPD, which is brilliant to see.

Really interested to see the pace of the new P2 cars. The Orecas and Morgans are still Courage-derived machines and the Zytek is no spring chicken. Surely all this new aero work is going to reduce lap times, especially when the potential is realised?
