Race car and Trailer policy
Hi guys.
I was insured with OAMPS special risks, Race car and trailer policy, This is the second year that they seemingly have forgotten to write to me to chase a renewal which is sort of making me question their admin somewhat. Policy was for my Griffy Race car based on £25k cover, £5k Trailer and £5k tools, Premium was £242 for the year. Are their any other race car specialists out there offering good cover...What's the consensus? It seems that the company is non too fussed to keep may business! Cheers Neil. |

I use REIS, similar car and trailer cover to you. I can nominate two usual places to keep the car and they always write to me. The problem is that I forgot this year and didn't renew until the day it ran out. Did it by phone and they were very helpful.

Haggerty are doing a lot with car clubs and their members these days. They also cover trailers which not many insurers do.

I use Hagerty as well.
I have a single policy which covers seven race cars whether road going, race only or laid up. It also covers my BJ race shuttle and my road GT3. Total insured is something like £325k including limited road mileage on the Marcos, TVR and MGB all for under £900. HTH |

I use Hagerty -luckily not had the misfortune to have to claim so can't comment on that aspect but they have been extremely flexible and accommodating with cover so far.
