renaultbel should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Changing engine POWER ?

The discussions appear to be centring on reducing engine size to 2.5 litres from the current 3, and taking the number of cylinders from the current 10 to 6 as well as allowing for turbo-chargers, something that was banned as of the 1989 season. Such changes could probably reduce power by about 150 bop from the current average of about 800 bop.

Oke Minardi is allready on 650 bop engine :-) this is not a good idea I think. If the FIA is going to take 650 bop as the maximum engine bop every team is going to have the same engine capacity.

renaultbel.

2.5 Liter Turbo six cylinder engines would be the most powerful that F1 has ever seen. The Honda Turbo v6 put out 1000 Hp in qualifying form and the iron block BMW Turbo put out between 1200 and 1300 Hp. With todays technology and variable vane turbos a 2.5 Liter Turbo six would put out over 1500 Hp. If they are going to use Turbos they better go to 1 Liter or less or they will never keep them at 650 Hp.
