Makes me wonder why there were so many porsches and so few other Marques?

These new GT3 cars are so easy to drive ss, they even make guys like us look quick.

I'm sure that, really, you know they were GT2 cars, and you're making yourself look dumb for our amusement?

Other Marques make GT2, clearly porsches are best going off entries.

Without trying to sound like earlier chat in the thread, I really do enjoy the banter of people involved in the sport (and race) - but wither nearly 4 full pages of personal jokes, insults and light hearted jibes, any chance we can stick to the race?

Its not often that we get a race driver, and car preparer for different teams on here willing to share their views.

Interestingly FF will be spannering Mr Huglin's #4 Consolidated Chemical Company-sponsored Lamborghini LP-560 GT3, while scudd will be piloting his own #23 JBS-sponsored Lamborghini Gallardo LP-600 GT3..

Two similar cars from the same mother at different times...

Which one will come out ahead?

Not long to go til we find out

Presuming Mr Tinkler doesnt take over the MM Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560, according to the entry list Here, he should almost be able to fall over the line for a class win with his codriver pairing... presuming the car can hang together for 12 hours..

class racing is almost irrelevant
Just watched hours and hours of live stream and Speed channel coverage with copius amounts of GT class coverage. Apparently the GT field was the most competitive and well patronized with different Marques in Daytona history ( according to the commentators).

Maybe it is just me, but I will forget about the prototypes by tomorrow, the day after at worst, for no other reason than it doesn't have a lot of relevance here.There are some of us out there that still give respect to those having a crack in class racing. Call yourself a Motorsport supporter...puhlease.

i'll point out for all that the vast majority of prep for teds car is done at his shop by two of his full time staff.

The Ferrari is and was fickle, and needs a certain touch, and I did a lot more, but the Lambo is a lit easier, newer, and the guys have been going a while now and are more than competent.

I mostly crew chief the weekends, while one of the guys is manager, the other is no1 mech. I advise a bit still, but the ship is steady. Its a great little outfit. Other GT3 car teams can only fantasise about getting such results so efficiently.

Play nice, guys. I've just taken a few of the more obvious personal stuff out in the hope that some people will get the message and discuss the subject instead of discussing each other as usual.
