Are any of these cars racing in private hands at the moment?

I believe so. There are a few dutch collectors who have 333SP's. Look here for one example: http://www.martinorosso.com/#sectioncars .

Bathurst 12 hours winning team Maranello Motorsport has one in their showroom. And it's actually for sale if someone has a few aussie bucks to spend
http://maranellomotorsport.com.au/ca...ale/race-cars/ I've seen a youtube video about 333SP running in a Swiss-Austrian hill climb race. Ferrari sold quite many 333SP's to privateers back in the day. Actually there never was such a thing as Ferrari works team though MOMO Racing in the US was kind of semi-works. |

I have taken a look at the website of Group C racing but cannot find a list of drivers / cars that will take part in their championship.
Does anyone know if there exists such a list |

It looks like the deadline for applying for invitation to race for the series and at Le Mans is 3rd March, so no entry list yet. I cannot remember seeing a list last year, but certainly not for a week or two.

I'm getting excited as well. Haven't never seen it before. I have seen and heard a Grand-Am spec tube frame RX8 in the pits of the Rolex24. Even though it was only a 3-rotor and had a muffler, you could feel how blipping the throttle made the ground shake.

Some more variety for the grid announced http://www.dailysportscar.com/?p=24351I was at the race at Silverstone in 1992, but do not really remember this car. Jag, Peugeot and Merc battle overshadowed everything else really. Is there a Ford C100 still around, preferable with bodywork which Zakspeed have not got at, I still think that was the prettiest car from that era.

Zakspeed owns the Jägermeister livery C100 / C1/4 with the Turbo Engine . The Zakspeed C1/8 with the DFL Engine is still in the Museum at Mondello Parc Circuit . |

http://www.racingsportscars.com/phot...-05-10-025.jpg (I only just remember it- IIRC the engine broke very early in the race, and I don't think I ever got a pic of it) Looking at other shots of the Gebhardt during it's IMSA career, and as converted to an Audi-powered spyder for ISRS/SRWC/FIASCC races in the late 90's, it seems to have been restored to a Group C coupe, but keeping the nose section from the later spyder version of the car. http://www.racingsportscars.com/chas...o/C901__1.html (I should have seen it at Donington in Audi spyder guise in 1999, but it didn't start- I think I saw it run in either qualifying or on the race morning warmup session, but don't think I managed to take any photos of it then either...) So I've seen it twice, and it broke down both times- Perhaps the new owners would prefer it if I didn't turn up to any Group C races this year.... |

The original Gebhart nose looks nearly as ugly as a current F1 carbunkle. Thanks for the info on the C100. At least they are still around, even if not running. There was a Lola T610 for sale in Motor Sport recently, would love to see one of them racing again.

OK, now I am jealous. I was at Le Mans in 1908 so saw the Lola and 512BB/LM there. it has been said elsewhere, but the cars of the late 70s and early 80s, before group C wold be great tos ee on a race track again. Ssean |
