21 Zent R8 slowing. oh.. crash of the 17 Keihin HSV. parts all over the place. Looks the right rear tire failed just after passing SC430.

Yeah, I hope the driver is okay. Hit the wall pretty hard. Too many tire failures.

Probably not in a shunt like that. HANS is designed for pure frontal impacts +/- 11 degrees from the horizontal. The sheer violence of the crash saved his life.

Wow. Thats a big crash. Looks the car had already left the ground before it hit the barriers. And then the debris flies across the track and hits the Lexus going past. Damn!

Is the driver ok?

yes, Koudai Tsukakoshi (Keihin HSV010) and Haruki Kurosawa (SLS GreenTEC) are ok.

Tsukakoshi reports, no injuries and hes happy.

Kurosawa has just some back pains after his crash earlier in the race.

What's the reason for so many tyre blow ups in that race? I've never seen anything like this.

I would like to know the reason of several fuel ran-out on GT300 class too,Z4,BRZ and Audi out of contention because of this

Sad to see the Keihin go out like that, he was headed for a good result! The BRZ with the fuel issue as well. They were headed for one of their best finishes.

Autosport magazine Suzuka round report

*No analysis of the tire burst of BS.
*Lexus (#6, #36, #38, #39) introduced the center air-outlet bonnet and the flat-top swan neck.
*Nissan introduced second fresh "version 2" engine.
*Takuya Izawa (#100) attacked Qualifying 1 with the full-power mode of the air-con and was knocked out.
*Team Gainer (#11) introduced new laxuary motorhome.
*GSR & Studie Z4 (#0) changed engine mapping (set store on straight-line speed). This data shotage caused lack of gas.

Sports-carracing.net report that Super GT may be held in Okinawa next year.
This plan is not based on GTA and based on Hironori Takeuchi of Team Shift (#52).
The problem is about who pays the expense.
